when I play Mom for a weekend. Thank God they have my sister.

I never really

let anyone take my picture but when a little boy asked me at an assignment tonight if he could take my picture I said yes and handed him my camera.. It's better than anything I shot all night and it is the first photo I have of myself working...

Why I don't..

want to be a portrait photographer.. kids are great but staged shots of them are really hard.. "Zabe look here, Sarra smile, Lilly you are making this look far too easy"
This is Lilliy, Zabe and Sarra, their cousin from northern Virgina who is spending part of the summer with my sister and her family. I think it is interesting that the background looks fake.. but it is real. I wonder what I did with my exposure to make it look like that...

when Zabe, Lil's brother was about the same age i took a photo of him that is very much like this one. I can't wait to hang this one on the wall next to him...
