Issue Photo Story

It has been estimated 80- 100 dogs and cats are euthanized each week in Moore County. Add to this a huge feral cat population, dog fighting, and abandoned animals, you have an enormous problem. I am working on a long term photo project with several animal welfare groups who are working together to slove the proble. Today the NC State School of Veterinary Medicine held a spay/ neuter clinic in Robbins specifically for feral cats. The cats are trapped, fed, and then under go either a spay or neuter proceedure. The cats are also given a rabies vaccine, flea and tick treatment, and have their ears notched they are then cared for overnight by Animal Advocates of Moore County. The feral cats will be released tomorrow to their original colonies. I am looking to work a few of the photos from today's clinic into my final story and would love feedback. Some of these photos are graphic.
